Question by LouBear13: Would combining a fat burner with the special K diet work better along with exercise?
I know that any form of fat burner should be combined with diet and exercise. I’m not lazy. But if I were to do the Special K diet along with a fat burner would that work seeing as how the Special K is a diet? Or should I do something more alonmg the lines of the grapefruit diet? I have a Bowflex so the exercise is covered??

NO !!! Do yourself a favor and talk to a nutritionist to help you get on the right track and frame of mind to do this. Someone has put some crazy idea in your head about thoes diets they do not work and cause more harm than good. Your body needs protein and fats to keep it moving. Eventually you will burn out and feel like crap. Go on a low carb, sodium and fat diet. Eating 5-6 small meals a day that includes snacks will benefit you more and keep you feeling full. If you start with a body cleanse to remove toxins from the body would give you a great jump start. Good luck and take care.

I’ve heard about it around 2 years ago. Then recently there’s been so much information about the benefits of omega 3. Just want to know who here has actually benefitted from it and how did you start with the omega 3 diet?
From my understanding it’s not really a “diet”, which is good. I just want to be healthy and more energized…any tips? I want to get into the omega 3 regimen, sounds good. Thank you!

I assume you just eat normally, but throw some omega-3 food like fish and nuts. Take a pill even.

That means no flour, potatoes, dairy, pasta, rice…no food that is white in colour other then chicken, fish, and pork

so, basically, that’s no carbs and no dairy ……You can still make your regular dinners of meat (fish, chicken, etc), and a veggie and some fruit. Just don’t give him potatoes or rice with his dinner. You can make “sandwiches” for him with 2 pieces of romaine lettuce instead of bread… or meat & fruit, with carrot & celery sticks for lunch. Breakfast can be eggs and fruit. ……ask the doctor if he can have SOY products. Then he could have soy milk, soy cheese and it would give him a little more variety …….He CAN have sorbet instead of ice cream (sorbet has no dairy – sherbet DOES have dairy) or popsicles or jello…..

I just started the diet but I am having trouble finding out what the portion sizes are for things like soups.
they will give you the calorie content and fat content etc. but not how many oz a serving should be its really making me nuts!On some of the soups the protein content is very low and they dont say if this is a meal or snack or what!Help!!!!!Also on the cookies again no portions mentioned!!!agrrhhhh!

Soup-1cup is a serving size.Also you can either have it as a snack or as a meal.If you are going to have it as a meal go ahead and up the portion size to either 1 1/2c. or 2cups..But heres a suggestion..Have 1cup of some good ol’healthy soup and 1/2 a sandwich..
Cookies-it depends on what kind they are.Some thing small like an oreo is 2cookies per serving.Anything bigger is 1 cookie per serving size.

If 2 women the same size an weight went on diets of 1200 calories and one included some chocolate everyday in their 1200 diet and the other didnt would there be a difference in the amount of weight they lost?

As long as you eat it in moderation, it won’t do you any harm. Dark chocolate is actually good for you and has less fat than milk or white chocolate. You don’t have to deprive yourself when you diet.
